New mower help

I have started looking at mowers with the intention of getting a new one in a few weeks, but I,m finding it an absolute minefield. You settle on something then see something else,

 

I really really like the lawnflite 553HWS-PRO

 

One thing that puts me off it is the weight, getting it in and out of the landrover.

 

I am looking at spending about £1k, was originally looking at the option of having side discharge for wet days and mulch for dry. I mow a variety of grass from short to 1ft long, some on slight bankings but mainly flat verge type stuff.

 

Don't need roller and would like bag emptying without stopping engine and could do with 20" + cutting width.

 

I really do like the lawnflite, I just wish it was 20kg lighter.

 

At the moment I have been getting by with a Honda HRB423 for the last ten years and it's hard work

great mowers,lawnflite,sarp/kaaz/danarm ,they are bloody heavy tho,but will do the job,ive got the sarp 19 inch roller,incredible collection,can you use 2 planks for loading ?

Looking at them, most of the big cut machines are well in excess of 40kg anyway. I do have planks that I use to load my stander mower with, so it might have to be

Had pressure-lubed kawasaki motored Ariens LM21SW - pretty good actually and lighter. Has the mulch / bag / side discharge option... and zero turn http://www.ariens.com/en-us/walk-behind-mowers/classic-lm

lawnflite pros are good we have a couple of roller ones and have had the 4 wheeled ones in the past. we use them in all weather and they still work in the wet as long as its not mega long. We will be buying them again

We sell loads of the Lawnflite Pros, with no come back. A proper solid built machine.

toro do a very good one 3 in one side mulch or bag. and solid built. worth a look built for comercial market

good but pricey for what they are. and trust they have fixed there wheels and drive systems
