Oops - chipped a top handle

So one of those Fridays! Was just chipping up some long red maple branches, and one branch must have latched onto an Echo top handle, The Special Chainsaw, and dragged it to the chipper and through! Chipper did some clack clack noises, (15 inch drum chipper), and some orange plastic was in the chips. Oops!

Rookie mistake, we can all make them!!! Lol

You ever chipped anything apart from trees?

Stihl blower went through a TW250 a few months back; no damage to the chipper except the blade edges.

The waste site I use regularly have saws, pruners etc go through their Jenz shredder: don't leave tools on top with the chip if you have a tipping truck!

Surey a top handle through a chipper would knacker a chipper, the guide bar would do the most damage surely?!

I've got my mouth open reading this thread lol, never so much as lost a pruning saw through a chipper in ten years!! Well maybe a coke can or two ;)

Got any pics?!
