A lot more hardwood around this year so prices are going back down to the traditional £40/t roadside. Here anyway.

That's as maybe,but softwood is a different kettle of fish,one of the biggest white play area woodchip suppliers in east anglia was telling me the other day that he just cant get the trees for his wholetree chippers due to it all going for biomass.

Im 85 a cube yes it should be more but I will struggle to get it, theres muppets round me selling at 60 a cube!!!! Its probably a builders bag with fresh split conny but people look at price and think bargain.

there .55 builders bags which are not full so really half a meter for 60 quid or £100 per meter

yeah your right dave but people do twig eventually and I have gained many customers just by being honest.

your right Ian you can not beat being honest I try to educate all my customers as to bag sizes so they know what volume they are buying!!

 

some people round here just look at the price tag & that's the deciding factor I`ve even been told his logs are crap but there cheaper than yours so ill buy off him!

how 2x.5m bags for £100 are cheaper than 1m bag @£85 I don't know??

it really makes me lol

Only you can answer that.

 

Paying 60 here delivered but it's coming a long way and it's all sub 14 inch and good quality hardwoods and there is a huge supply.

 

£130 a cube for hardwood £115 for 50-50 mix and £95 for soft.

 

We're all charging the same locally.
