Window Cleaners making £400 a day

Mate I had a chimney sweep in a few years back, 40 quid for 10 mins work. He said he does around 15 - 20 houses a day.

 

Bloke who does mine charges £40 per sweep, he got his training ( to become an approved sweeper like the AA is to arb) from a bloke in Chelmsford. This guy serves london and can charge anything upto £100 per sweep for a single stove... He was booked up a 2 months in advance... do the math based on 10+ sweeps per day!

 

Kit required? A tarted up Henry hoover, some brushes and rods!!!

I'm sure if we all used our best weeks as examples when talking to other professions they'd think the same

Though the chimney sweep idea crosses my mind a fair bit. I bet their insurance isn't cheap! Mines £90 for two open fires. Was done in an hour and doesn't even take the soot away!

I had a new flue liner installed 2 weeks ago and that cost me 550 and he was done in 2 1/2 hours and when I spoke to him he said he can install 3-4 per day.

Those fitting stove are onto a gooooood thing.
