stress

Recommended Posts

I always found walking into your local Tesco's and seeing how grumpy the checkout staff are and think hey ho could be worse. Costs less than a shrink and you can do the weekly shop too.

Also since buying my alaskan mill doing something with the wood that i fell has given me a, well stess relief. Spend a sunday afternoon up the yard plodding around drawing sketches then milling to size, cutting the joints, rasping the timber and a few hours later sit on your creation. I've never felt happier in my life. For years i worked at AAAC's and just felt stressed and down. When i setup myself some of the stress went. I keep my overheads down all kit bought and paid for no HP or loans (no stress of repayments). I rent chippers, grinders, subby's.

arbclimber, some of the most messed up guys i know came from wealthy families and were all clever guys and really good at sport. i have always worked for folk with money, and i would see them with jet skis, jeeps, motorbikes, campervans. they would never work and always blagging money off their parents. all their amazing toys would lie about outside in the rain and rust, it would drive me mental. i used to work so hard and they got it handed on a plate BUT as like you, when they got to their mid twenties, they seem to just fall apart, mainly from spending all day stoned or drinking and taking stuff they shouldnt. Work keeps you busy and gives you pride in yourself, achieving goals by yourself is a fantatstic feeling. i see it like riding a bike up a long hill, you want to chuck in the towel but when you get to the top, the ride back down is sweet. but if you get a lift to the top and free wheel down, it isnt as good.

you dont need to go into details mate, but your experiences can only help others ian. I find trying to help others very rewarding, i am always scared i go to far or put my foot in it, and tbh this is my way of stress relief, talking about stuff. When you get a pm from someone saying thanks or even just someone saying they can relate to what i am talking about it really makes me feel good. I also find i give others advice that i should be taking myself, i think its called 'projection'

Im too knackered to get stressed these days!

If a tidal wave came toward me, metophorical or otherwise, would I run?

nah i would up middle finger and breath a deep sigh take another breath, a deep one and scream COME ON THEN!

because there is no point in getting upset, and pointless running, cos there aint nowhere to go when the proverbial hits the fan.
