I am processing for next season and wondering what lengths do you find most popular and convenient to process? Then there is the question of how small do you split them?

9" for most with a smaller amount of 12" seems to be the norm round here ...

hmmm. Sound like I maybe over complicating our system as we currently sell 4 different sizes.

Sub 8", 8-10", 10-12" and 12-16" would be nice to get it down to 3 sizes.

So for splitting 4" is a good target? Now we have a processor it's very tempting to let larger logs slip through the net.

My log burner at home is a 5kw and my 9" logs fit in a treat . So I,m of the opinion that if they fit in my little burner they will fit in most  Any special orders are dealt with at no extra charge as we keep some decent seasoned sticks for the special ones

Must say my 9 " logs are 1/2 inch either way :001_tongue:

Don,t really go in for that calibration malarky .
