How did you fill in the risk assessment in such a way as to allow you to climb a dead oak tree in the rain? Surely changing the task to suit the weather would have avoided the accident?

 

Surely the fact that the tree was dead or it was raining didnt contribute to him falling, it was more like going up the ladder while it wasnt footed that was the prob.

 

Glad to hear your mate is ok, no doubt could have been way way worse.

 

Ask most people that have had an accident and its nearly always doing the silly little things that causes them. Well is IME and those ive seen.

Mate we just get given the job sheet and get on with it besides oak isnt on my list of don't want to climb in the rain apart from not wanting to work in the rain full stop.
