And, if you port saws for others, make sure you have some Public liability insurance.

 

Once modified, the person who modified it will assume liability for it in the event of a mishap. The manufacturer will be off the hook.

hello everybody my 084 is running well had a new carb kit air/ fuel filter but one small problem there is some scoring on the barrel and somehow the de compressor button is missing should i go on or get it sorted now and maybe a little porting at the same time

I have just spent two hours reading about porting chainsaws.

I feel mischievously excited and am planning on buying a range of files, a dremmel and some new drill bits tomorrow.

 

I will possibly have a range of Stihl chainsaws for sale next week

 

 

(that do not run for some reason :blushing:)

 

I think im going to practice first on some scored cylinders first

Hopefully you have taken note of things like where the ring ends are and not taking the ports to within 2mm of the piston skirt edges!:blushing::lol:
