That vid despite being shockingly boring really does not do justice to the performance added to that 357 to the work its had done though mate, martins let me loose on it a few times and its impressive.

 

I see what you did there.

On a bit of a negative note, has anyone suffered any catastrophic engine failures through having ported a saw?

It must put extra load on the bearings, crank, flywheel, clutch?

Does it lessen the life of the saw?

Not me . I have 3 of spuds . All run more efficiently .

Not had any issues to date and some of mine have been out there a few years now.

 

I do thake care in making sure that certain constraints are not breeched when porting.

 

In reality, the bottom end of the saw is pretty over specified and will stand up to the extra power.

It wasnt his 026 :sneaky2:

saying that he did fit new pot and piston and it runs really nice its a shame the 026 is not as good for porting as they are a great little saw:thumbup:
