short bollsters on a flat trailer loads of air gaps in the timber I reckon ther is nowhere near as much as you think. 12.8t I reckon!

That's one of them new fangled tyres. 25% less rubber, so 25% less rolling resistance and 25% noise as it's trundling down the M3. I presume it works on other motorways too.
