Pruning cuts

Whilst working on the m6. I was traveling down the slip lane and come across these cuts. It made me laugh betting no mention the companies name after last time.

Maybe they flicked through Shigo to the stub cuts page and thought that was the way to go.

I don't see the problem it's highways all about clearance not appearance. Besides like Huck has mentioned its hawthorn they love it.

I always prune properly even on utility stuff but I do question if it's the right thing to do, at the end of the day I'm putting wounds in a tree go or bad cuts the tree doesn't care in my opinion it's aesthetics for pruning cuts

Private clients pay for neat pruning cuts. UA contracts pay by the span. Rightly or wrongly this is the result.
