That's a fair point Tim, but I don't think the B&Q analogy is a great one.

This is a massive derail.

Back on track, will hitting the stop bar work if Justin Bieber comes on?

Is there a good reason why tw have 2 offset 3 inch knives, surely 2 , 6 inch knives would chip more efficiently, and meen more hours usage before they needed changing, they must have tried it. ?

I am not a massive TW fan, but the offset knives is actually a very clever bit of design IMO. It allows a smaller engine to chip faster as it only takes half a bite at a time. This does lead to quicker knife wear, but it is one of the reasons that the TW150s have suck quick recovery time on the stress control. A smaller, more lightweight flywheel has enough momentum to cope with the smaller 'bites', and is subsequently brought back up to speed quickly as it offers less inertia than a larger equivalent.

I've not known a problem with electronics yet and parts availability was good before they insisted on using a local dealer, in my case they're pants. They are pretty good about telling you where to get standard items rather than going for dealer supplied parts, worst repeated parts to break are the safety bar and palm switches, oh and tracks that part after many years use in embarrassing places.

We've had problems with the computer on the 19-28 and the track system

In the north west the greenmech dealers are groundcare equipment dealers they know loads about mowers but not as much about choppers

Don't bother with the dealers - speak to Mac or Jason at Greenmech directly. They will fix any problems down the phone.

Is that Balmers by any chance they were useless as TW dealers
