Hi , I use a combination of Green and Blue dyes , followed by a blowlamp , wire brushes in a drill , nylon brushes, wire wool and finally Liberon finishing oil , it is a bit experimental and taken me a while to achieve what I wanted to but am now getting pleasing results ! ...Terry..

just a little update on the walnut that delabodge gave me, got the last of it back to mine and processed it and after turning more nests i ended up with a grand total of 101 bowls from only one tree.

Afternoon all, thought this might tickle someones fancy. This Walnut is in a customer of mines garden and is looking to get something made from it, including a table top if possible. She is also interested in learning a bit about wood turning. Any suggestions? Location is near Hampton Court, Surrey.

I know a gent who turns that lives in Teddington. He can't slice up something that large - he'd need others to do that - but he may be interested in some of the timber. Want me to put him in touch?
