Have you weighed it with the Engcon fitted by any chance? What size hitch, and is the tilty direct mounted? Have you got a price in mind?

Not directly but the engcon is about 70kg, but the 2.9 tons includes the standard quick hitch so its not massively different.

Engcon is direct mounted but easy enough to take off. Its got an S40 hitch underneath, S30 is a bit small for a 3 tonner I think! Looking for about 25kish for the whole set up.

Shame it's not a bit bigger as seriously thinking of going down the 6 - 8 ton size for various jobs. Looks a good machine for someone.

I know of an 8 tonner with the same (bigger) set up if you are interested PM me and I will check it out.

Picked up the new digger today and was pleased it went on the trailer. Like a complete dick I checked all the specs extensively but never even thought about track width compared to the other machines, naively assumes they’d all be the same. Had 40mm to spare in the end!

Very nice- well done! Out of interest what made you go for the Doosan in the end?

Mix of things. Price (as usual) known quantity dealer 20 miles away, same yanmar engine as I’m used to. If I wasn’t scared of finance and knew anyone who had one I’d have gone kobelco sk26 with 4 lines and full rototilt with grab cassette. But don’t think I could justify the £40k, it’s not something I use everyday so doesn’t feel right (something about feeling guilty if I had top spec kit and didn’t use it fully). And tbh if I’d had anymore money I’d be looking at the 6t doosan, awesome bit of kit, perfect in a dump trailer behind a little tractor   And only £33k new with 4 lines and hyd hitch as standard. Even had 3yrs 0%. If I didn’t enjoy being married I might of signed up!

Finally got the good old tb175 piped up for rotate.
Ended up teeing off the crowd lines with a manual diverter for cheapness and simplicity.

Now just needs a flow reducer in the rotate line (it’s a bit rapid currently), the new line attaching up permanently and some cab guarding and she’s good to go.
