Had a play with the grab today, effortless compared to the 3 tonner on bigger bits!

Never seen that mod on a digger . what plumbing have you done there Stevie.

Works off the extra dig , 2 buttons on the levers.

This is my little Arb digger, a old JCB 801, welded a thumb on to the dipper for helping out with the log processing, don't know how I managed without one beforehand, for a small old machine it's a belter 👍

The thumb makes a huge diference! Great wee machine!

thanks for the replies regarding a grab, we have a job felling a load of sitkas so thought a digger n grab would be handy for moving the timber sticks about.

That's what we do with our grab on a hire 3 ton digger, company I deal with were fine about it and even fitted quick fitments to the bucket ram and pipes so was easy to swap back to digging if needed and then when it go's back to normal hire work they take them off and put back to normal.

I fitted a changeover valve on the dipper of my Yanmar, into the bucket crowd service.

The solenoid pokes out through a convenient hole, so I fabbed a cover and threaded a few holes and bolted it on.

It's activated by a button on the left joystick, providing full proportional control of the circuit via the right joystick.

I use it for the rotator and it's a joy to use.
