Fuel tank is to small, stalls when hanging if the tanks down to the last quarter, not as ergonomic as the 201, gets very hot, fuel filler hole too small, not as powerful as everyone seemed to be saying, plastic seems very brittle.

Just a bit disappointed after all the hype.

TBH, I wish I'd gone for another 201.

Seems like You are def a Stihl man !

My 3 540t saws all run Nice and only the small filler opening is something i can agree with. Take your saw to the husky shop and let them work it out ;-)

Yours has a larger tank, bigger fuel filler hole and softer plastic??:confused1::sneaky2:

Oh yea sorry of course ! Doh . :blushing: Ticks over when dangling and has bags of punch though . When you first start it keep reeving the nuts off it then hold it wide open until the revs finally peek . takes a few seconds but you can hear it creep up . Think its the A/T setting . Then its good to go .

yup, i'm with dave on this.

Seen, tried and felt the 540xp.... sounds hideous to me aswell, didn't like it at all

It'll be another 201t for me when the time comes. My 201t is brilliant no complaints at all! Feels like a step forwards from the 200t's to me, the feel and the av etc. No going back :thumbup1:

We have/had 5 201's 3 got stolen, so after all the hype I bought 3 540's for myself and the guys, I do like it, seems to have more bottom end power, it does have it flaws those Huckster mentions and a few others.

The 201 is not perfec either far from it, but myself and the other guys would of been equally happy with 201's again.

It certainly does not have 30% more power like suggested in other threads.
