Ah yes, you old boys can't deal with it anymore can you!!! ;) Just think of all them people you might be helping.... ;)

Cough cough... And all the money you'll be earning ;)

We did years of call outs for our local council including 1987 1991 and 1999 the last night we did we started at 5.30 pm to 4.30 am and stuck in our bill only to be told by the highways technician directing us that his boss had told him he should have asked us for a price for every job as we arrived at it !! What a joke as you get older you get wiser,I'll gladly let you young ones do all the charitable work helping all them people as you put it ,I will stick to my known regular customers who need us and pay our rates.

Call out work can be a minefield and you want to be sure who you are working for that's my old boys opinion,in business experience does still count for something Treework is no different.

Can I do the sensible bit......

Ive had the misfortune to give guidance and advice following server accidents that happened doig emergence call outs..........

Just remember if the tree is swinging arround in the wind, threatening the house, the insurace will cover a stay in a hotel... so dont feel you have to climb a tree in a gail.

the vast majority of roads can be closed untill the wind subsides without the normal notice, so you dont have to go aloft in a tree in hte wind.....

and if you are felling the tree because its dangerouse as its loose in hte ground... is it safe to climbe a dangerouse treee.......????

I await the critisum and moans but its a tree, and there is insurance, and we are but humans, and break very easily, and the safest thing is make the site safe and let the wind go

be safe be sure stay alive

agree 100% is worth risking life and limb to make a tree safe. i was out in 87 during the storm clearing large beech trees on three maids hill for locals. we had about 10 of us and a jcb trying to clear road as we cleared so more came down watching 80ft beech falling dwn beside you makes you think sod this my lifes worth more than doing this. in the end we al went home to wait for wind to drop. worked for council for 3 weeks after clearing roads. nice little earner. so if you have to stay safe and do not take risks. if you are not happy say sod it and leave it. better to be alive than rich and dead
