Thanks but the truth is I know very little about tractors so don't know a gooden form a dud hence asking on here first. Good to here there are some good ones near by as normally everything I ever want is up the line.

dependent on budget maybe something like a ford 4000 , 5030 or ford 4610 with a loader or 5610 something like that not a bad loader tractor and the later two will easy lift a 3 furrow plough tow a fully loaded trailer run the splitter etc

the 4610 is a megger bit of kit bit old but still dose the job i used to drive one before it went bang used it for mowing and rowing up hay and then load with an 8 bale grab even humped grain trailers full

Mines 23 years young spends most of its life on the splitter at just over Tickover was at an equestrian centre before I bought it so had an easy life.

Something like the 4610/5610 would be perfect and I wish I owned the example pictured as it's a really nice unit.

Zetor would certainly be a cost effective solution also.

It was a good investment I have had it about 6 years and was recently offered 2k more than I paid for it.

OP- is your splitting and loader work at the yard (ie. hard standing)? If so I'd be tempted to keep what you've got, and get another yard tractor, a 2wd International with loader for about 2k. Then you also have backup.

How under powered are the hydraulics for what you want to do with it or is it more the physical size/weight that's hindering it's lift ability?

 

It looks from the link like a nice useful size machine that's not mega old - I'd wonder if a bit of ballasting and maybe either a more powerful pump or maybe a little tweak on a relief valve might be enough to help out if it's not far off what you want?

It says on the speck it should lift 1200kg which is pretty good maybe worth seeing if you can have an assistor ram fitted to increase lift capacity.
