Secondhand Aussie prices New & Used TOYOTA LANDCRUISER Ute / Tray for sale | Carsguide

Anyone seriously considering a Landcruiser ute, avoid ones from the mines as they get hammered, thats what the guys on Aussie 4x4 and fishing forums say.

Thanks Lee:thumbup1:

Annoyingly, if you click on any of the vehicles it goes to a different website so you can't view vehicle details.

It's a straight six is it not ?

:blushing: Sorry meant straight 6. Does growl nicely.

Took some pictures of this 78 chassis, as I passed the surface workshop.

(just a check up). A steel plate is being reinserted under the cockpit area of the machine, where steel rebar has a tendency to penetrate through the gear stick area and into the drivers environment. Happens regularly enough believe it or not, and thats with good house keeping underground (we use tons and tons of 2.4m rebar for good support). Thankfully nobody has ever been impaled in such a situation.

have a look at PK Trucks website in Holland prices seem quite reasonable

Alot of the latest landcruiser utes are V8 diesels

i have an HJ47 Landcruiser 4 ltr 6 cyl 1983 model it had a 10 year refit in 2000 and now needs another

they are fairly rough to drive and not good on fuel economy

its just about stuffed but i love it:thumbup1:

A single cab is exactly what I want and I always have since I worked with them in South Africa. Everyone wanted to drive the old Landcruisers, no one really wanted to drive the quite new L200's and the brand new Landrover was regarded as a joke.

Trouble is, a new one is out of my budget and I couldn't risk buying a used one with out driving it first. I'm not going to Australia to do that! Tempting though it is.
