Chainsaws do have their uses in certain circumstances at close range when surrounded, but the noise would draw more zombies. Also fuel may be an issue, and parts.

for short range, the gerber, silent reliable, no parts or fuel.

a chainsaw for emergency use, when you need to cut your way out of a room full.

maybe a bow and arrow as silent ranged weapon

and finally a shotgun for emergency use, a common calibre one so ammo can be found.

Our other main asset is the ability to climb, we could construct an ewok village in the trees.

You do know the only way to stop them is to cut their heads off so a bow and arrow would be useless (and that zombies are not real) :001_rolleyes:

My 14 year old son and I walked round Bentley woodfair, and after he became a little bored, he started deciding which type of tool or saw he would be grabbing in the event of a "Zombie apocalypse".

Sorry if this post is a little bit odd, but he found it funny, I was able to pop into the beer tent.

His final decision was a ms201t and a cherry picker, with axe as a backup.

What would you use ?

If all you had was a 201t you'd need an axe as back up!

I would agree with chainsaws, especially Stihl as you wouldn't get parts :001_rolleyes:
