To anyone starting or thinking of going into selling logs please dont think all members of the public are like this. I would say this is one in a hundred and you soon get a feel for them when they ring up.

Like what exactly?

Did i haggle on the price? No

Did I accept the load? Yes

Did I shop around and look for a better supplier like any sensible buyer would? Yes

 

Did I ask questions on a forum to gain a better understanding of the trade? Yes

Well you have you logs now and have found a supplier you are happy with. I have to go now and sit in my hot tub and admire my Ferrari in the background while I count the badly filled bulk bags of logs in the yard. :thumbup:

Have you a contact for your supplier? My brother lives up your way and he's looking for decent dry hardwood logs.

that depends ,he may get his wood for free,he may be using the tractor that belongs to his farm , so that covers thats fuel ,

No a ton is more if its oak cos its denser, talking of denser

 

I see! So if I was to buy a LOOSE cube of, lets say Ash I would get more logs than if I bought a loose cube of oak?......think I get what ya mean. :biggrin:
