Cracking Pic! The snow amounts up there are impressive, hope the wind dies down for them. Nevis Range are saying its the most they have ever had! Dusting here this morning is all we have had all winter!

Thanks for all the info guys-I shall pass it on. Much appreciated. I once canoed from a little Spey tributary above Aviemore down river to the sea, camping on islands in the river, two fantastic days. The scenery up there is spectacular!

My mate and his family are off to Aviemore for the half term break for a week on the mountain. If the weather closes the hill, what other activities are there locally? Owt exciting/different? If the weather clears the snow looks like it will be awesome, wish I had the time for a trip up myself! Cheers.

Just a head up guys. Some b.gger got into my 90 last night. They mustv'e got disturbed as door was ajar this morning and the ignition barrel had been forced but luckily still there! I'm in Salterforth near barnoldswick. Swines.

Difficult to say how deep it is here as its blown about so much -10"to a foot maybe. Went up Salterforth drag earlier and into Barlick along the top road -Landy comes into its own on days like this!!! Worst/best conditions for years:thumbup1:

So a mixed consensus then -still like the idea of working from a platform rather than balancing of the top of my bloody ladders -defo an accident waiting to happen!
