Yes the B81 as standard, a local chap fitted a K60 diesel to one but didn't change the gearing so the engine screamed. The Aussies fitted an speed increaser and used Cummings V8s IIRC.

Hi guys my mate had a Stalwalt some yrs ago we drove it from the A46 near Bath to the Forest Fair a good old Free Festival , in the Nwe Forest , cost a fortune but was ace fun , have you taken it for a swim

There was a 6x6 ex army wrecker/recovery vehicle ,  at one of the garages near me ,I think a Scammel ,  that had the RR 8 cylinder petrol lump .

There was a (breakers?)yard just off the A286  by West Dean that had a couple of Thorneycroft nubian fire tenders for ages, these too had the B81, and must have been in your locale.
