It only looks small and a mornings work from pic, but with the phone line in there you never know.

 

You shouldn't lower your price or be swayed,

 

The price is the price no matter how big or small a tree you want paying!

 

Never mind pal!

I recon your bang on with that mate, if they've had a quote of £250 you will probably be back to sort out the mess in a week anyway. Then tell them the price is still £420

 

Remember you cant win them all...

 

I can never understand why some think that!

 

If they have a lower price than 'me' they will do a crap job,:001_huh:

 

That job looks like it could be knocked out in an hour or 2 as others have said.

 

I suppose 'our' price is always the right one and everyone else is either doing it for beer money or is a rip off merchant.:laugh1:

I had a guy send me a picture of a sweet chestnut he wanted felled and ground out i thought it would be like hours work in and out one truck i said between 100-180 quid went to look at the tree its about 20inches across at thr base gave him a fixed price for £275 we got the job but pictures never can show the true size.

Going on the photo, dangerous idea in itself, id put in for a day on it and probably be done by 3pm at the latest. Given the phone line my quote would have been in the middle between those two prices given in post 1. J

That job looks like a 2/3 hour job so £270 and bad my self i would go £300 and state that your trained and show them your tickets and insurance. That normally sways them. Good luck and play safe

Sorry I know it's hard to see pic properly but the stem is on the other side of the wall it leans over the wall into the lane so no felling.

Ok understood . If its leave the stump to wall height then I would still tghink its a £270 2 man job . Thats just from the pic though .

Thanks for all your comments guys I want to get the job now to see how long it takes!

I am not as experienced as some of you but either way I want to get it down safe and don't want to have to make a phone call to BT!!!!
