bucket trucks in the uk

do you guys know of any companies that work with bucket trucks in the uk, i watched one work in nz, it was an awesome piece of kit. i have trawled through companies web sites but never seen any.

nice one steves industries, when the pound was strong you could of bought that for about 20k. i think it would be awesome for town work. i bet it likes the juice though. well kitted out aswell, and i bet it could tow a monster chipper. could do with edds input, he is bound to know all about them:001_smile:

I think the limited access and narrow streets found in the UK restricts the use of "bucket trucks" in our industry's domestic sector.

You know Dave, if you took the bucket off and put a hook and or grapple on the boom, they are remarkably similar to your setup!

I did contemplate buying a Yank bucket truck for a while, but mainly a material handler type, as they have a crane built into the boom.

I prefer the US type booms to the fimsy spiderlifts, as they have greater side reach, and the tiny little 'bucket' is a cinch to squeeze into the crown of a tree.

 

That 'steves industries' site is a good laugh. Fair play to he man, looks like he keeps busy.
