What boots when climbing?

hi im after some new boots for climbing when using a chainsaw, what boots do you use and your opinions on them?

Klima air Tirol fighters here. Just got my pair resoled, it cost £30 rather than having to buy a new pair. I know they aren't the lightest boot in the world but there really comfy and durable.

elton boots, started off with them, tried more expensive ones, and now back to the them.good all round boot for 80quid but i think they are now up to 90 due to the euro

Agreed i rekon there the toughest boots on the market, especially good for navigating through the tops of really sharp hard deadwood in the middle of leylandii conifer hedges.. the sort previously reduced by muppets where theres hundreds of small spear like branches trying to stab you.

Aquafell xperts are the best ones I've tried, but I havent tried that many tbh

Had them over 12 months and there still looking good, most stuff lasts me about 6-9 months before falling apart.

I'm in Meindl Airstream at the mo, very comfy, good with spikes, fine for footlocking and general climbing.

 

Before these I had Haix Trekker Mountains, better for climbing, nice grippy soles, but useless with spikes as they have virtually no instep.

Yeah, instep is important if your gonna be using spikes. bigger the better. Go try some on, comfort is the one major factor and everyones feet are different. But DONT skimp on boots. (I know)

I use arb essentials own brand "no risk" logger boots. Not the climber version for 30 quid more, just the basic version. 80quid, maybe less. Last pair (freebie) lasted two years.

I had some of them, did last well. was impressed, but They claimed to be 100% waterproof???? NOT.(unless mine were dudds).
