I wear the showa's when its not wet,for climbing and ground work, never use to but once i found them i would never go back, helps a lot with grip keeps a lot of little cuts and grazes away etc..each to their own,I love them but useless in the wet!

When its gets below -10 they defiantly help as well.

I wear gloves personally but they have got caught in the prussic a little bit but not often. i prefer them as they keep my hands cleaner and as some one mentioned all the little cuts and grazes that come with the work

The towa gloves are awesome. The only gloves I've found give you a good feel for the task you are doing. I used to have splits, cuts and cracks galore in my hands but they stay clean and free from most wear and tear web wearing gloves.

Saves washing that horrible black sap stain off after conny bashing too which is a bonus!!
