I've run landrovers of all shapes and ages since I was 17 with a couple of short breaks, tried the hilux, thier gutless for towing and useless off road unless got plenty of weight in the back to give it traction, used my dads mitsubishi l200 for a year while I didnt have a landy not bad on towing but would wheelspin from standing start if you had good load on and reasonable of road though towing with it makes a landy v8 look economical, do like the look of the new isuzu and have got good warranty and if the fuel consumption figures are accurate doesnt look bad but end of the day I think I'm getting another landy at the end of the day nothing else is so adaptable and can take the abuse they get and keep going, the fact that over 50% of landys ever built are still on the road says it all :thumbup1:

does anyone actually tow 3.5t with a pickup tho? it would scare the **** out of me! ive towed 2.6ton with the navara and think that was pushing it a bit, not about the power but just being able to control that weight behind you and being able to stop. i'll happly tow that weight with a defender or tipper/dropside with duel wheels, if im right in thinking you cant tow with 4WD on the road in the isuzu can you?
