Grief for not using wire core.

Today i got greiff from another climber because I CHOOSE not to use a wire core flip line, never have.

now i know i'm not the only person on the planet to do this, but curious if most others do?

Never! Ive cut through my wirecore like it was a normal rope one before so im not a fan!

I never use one, your flip line should be backed up any way and if you think a saw won't cut though a wire core your kidding yourself.

To be truthfull I rearly use mine only on big diameter stuff

Only thing a wire core is good for is flipping up easier when pole/stem ascending

Its called a flip line, the wire core is to make it flip, its not cut protection

I have never used 1 and don't see why I need too , what's the big deal with them anyway ?

I don`t use a wire core line but I do always back up with my main line. I wouldn't chog with a single anchor.

Use 1 all the time, Mine is really light and I like it for pushing through branches or flicking round the stem.
