Allowing for the above, what do lads on the ground feeding the chipper, hauling brushwood and a little pruning with a pole saw for several hours get paid. Remember-no CS tickets etc, just basic ground work. Is £60 cash in order, whats your thoughts ???

How long is a day ?

Does the labourer have to use his/hers own transport ?

60 quid a day!...If i was skint i'd do it.

Would you be happy with the money you were getting if you were in his/her boots ?

I pay £60 cash to a guy who has his basic ticket brings his own saw and works nice and steady all day! For a numpty its £40 or a hard working numpty £50 all cash at the end of the day!!

I pay what thier worth, I got a 16 year old who will graft as hard as anyone who's on £40 a day and a twenty something who gets £60 a day, I have been told of a lad who will work for £30 a day, difference is I know the the other two lads will actually turn up and work at the rate I'm paying them :laugh1:

Before i got my tickets the guy was gunna pay me 50 a day working up to 10-12 hrs that day.

As he said, i was a hard working lad and gave me £60 instead. I learnt a lot too which was great

But HM revenue will visit you with a bill if they consider you employed and paid them and they didn't get their chunk.
