And same for rigging too, if you push the limits and go over SWL you will surely get away with it but the kit might have to be retired early. Its called cycles to failure, where going over the SWL can recuce the MBS over time causing eventual failure below MBS. As a one off though, just get on rescue the person!

they're a better option. I have a huge bag full of the others, they're cheap as chips but they do ride round the karabiner, also some hardware loops such as on the ropeguide will slide right over them

Sky walker pulley slides over them to. I have a whole bag full of them and the applicator gun thingy that I've never used. (Came in my bag off goodies)
