Yep, London Plane. Was an incredible tree to mill up. Felt very blessed that day!

The colour is stunning. Does it keep that pinky colour once dry?

From what I've seen it goes a more light brown colour with a very faint hue of pink. Jo who I milled it for was kind enough to let me have a couple of boards which have gone in my VIP timber stack

Tis the season to be milling. Milling some Sweet Chestnut and Oak. Had a nice two days in the sunshine. Hoping to have three days next week. Will need to work off all the Christmas grub.

Well my  piece of Dead elm sold on  Flea bay for £59 , a bit better than a bulk bag of logs and gone to a good cause while it's sister is already  sat above a Stove drying out .

i was going to offer you something for that if it didn't sell. looks a nice bit of wood and we don't get too much elm down this way.
