the eye for the tool strop seems a bit flimsy .

 

I would assume you are using the metal ring and not the plastic one?

 

Just for anyone else in the future, this is likely to be a very common mistake and possibly resulting in a few dropped saws;

nearly got a stihl 150 then saw this so hope it turns into the right choice .

 

I'm not having a go about this, but why would you be deliberating between a 150 and a 540? Very, very different uses IMO. A bit like saying what saw should I go for between a MS261 and a MS461:confused1:

 

 

Also just curious, but on these later(official released) saws, have husky over come this rather annoying issue?

In my opinion that would be a mild case of RTFM than.

No news could be good news ????

 

There was plenty of feedback on the ms150t though, unless the guys with the 540's are stacked out with work
