this is "Josephine hedger" world champ and many times uk champ too. rope after two days use. as i said there is a issue here,

There must be a burr or something on the device to cause that kind of damage I had no such issues with Tachyon or Bluemoon.

Sold my ZZ on now.

Sorry Dean just saw your post regarding burrs.

tachyon is smooth? It feels quite soft in my hand, but not smooth in comparison to say PI or blaze

Yeah its not as smooth and hard as blaze, but its compareable to PI. But its a hell of a lot more smoother than imori which i cant imagine works well in mechanicals due to its softness and pliability.

my mate at work glazed up a bit of his velocity from a big swing when he was mesin about on the zz..

A big swing can glaze your rope whatever you use, let's not try and trash the device until we we know all the facts. I'm still liking mine and zip about on it with no trouble, in fact so far I'd say its softer on my line that my old armour prus cord set up, it is still early days for me to give proper feed back.

I think in principle and from a mechanical point of view, the zz is one of the best devices I have seen so far.

I have been using LJ for 6 years with solid attachment eye, swivel eye and lately with a soft eye. I find the LJ jerky and not very controllable unless you help control by holding the tail of the rope, which is having to use both hands, not good if you are swinging out and down to catch a limb.

Ill start using the ZZ next week, but it would take a while to use in all different scenarios to get a proper view point on it.
