Unlikely. Council would have view them as individual trees. Could be appealed against and a good case could be made as it is controversial use of a Tpo. A Tpo scoring system would be essential and show the visual amenity the trees are giving.

I would say the OP is about right, If it were me I'd burn the lot, trunks and everything,

why muck about?

 

Yep, done and dusted in 2-3 days if not getting any firewood out I reckon.

 

Week, maybe just into second week if pulling out firewood too.

 

I'd go for several smaller fires, felling as many tops onto fire heap as could so as to avoid a bit of double handling. Smaller fires will mean tractor can just keep loading rather than having to wait for big fire to drop a bit before loading next few grabs.

 

Spend a bit of time getting fires really hot and going well then load load load

You are right, spoke to council planning and although they are not protected by a TPO we need to use the same form to notify them of our intention to fell-

"Application for tree works: works to trees subject to a tree preservation order (TPO)

and/or notification of proposed works to trees in a conservation area.

Town and Country Planning Act 1990"

You don’t have to use the forms provided for a 211 notification, they might want you to but what they want and what they can have are diferent things.

 

A 211 notification needs to identify your intentions and the trees, other than that you could write it on a kipper and it would be valid, as well as lunch for one.

I've seen a big conifer felling job near me. They felled the lot, dragged them into a pile with a big 360 then brought stobarts in with their big chipper and chipped the lot into their wagons. There was probably 50 of those.

Keep it simple. It shouldn't be more than 2 days to fell and process the trees. Chip the brash into dumpy sacks stack the logs. I'll typically do 40-50 pine/spruce a day in the size you've got there. If you have to burn it fine but I'd explore every other option first.

I'd like to see the chip I'm dumpy bags too, have you ever tried chipping into a dumpy bag on foot forestry? Obviously not:)

Just ring the local fire station before you burn tell them the day you are burning this stops them from racing out on an emergency call. You get dick heads ring to see the engines turn out. The fire service are very good about this

As for the price if a good friend ?????? If an acquaintance proper rate for job
