No other pet names for equipment, but we do call the 'sun', Sonia, for some reason.

An ms200t that's been exhaust modded and ported as far as possible is called the lion. It roars like a beast and sounds like a 088 on full throttle. Doesn't stop either.

When I was a chef we called the dishwasher barry after barry scott (cillit bang) and one of the ovens lucy,

nearly lost my missus after saying that i'd just 'given lucy a good and thorough going over she was a very dirty girl'

My old forklift was called Sideshift Bob and it's replacement (a lumpy beast of a Nissan) is called Neville.

 

That's about it for machinery - I tend to name my cars. I've had a Mitsubishi Shogun called Bish Bash, the Navara is called Dara, the old Mercedes 308D tipper was called Jurgen and my old LDV tipper was called Randy.

Pole saw is my gyipsy stick and the landy is the jungle bus and the silky pole saw is the limb reaper, thats about all i can think of but might have to start naming things just to confuse people around the work site

the two trucks out the 3 trucks the transit is yellow with a green body to that's the daffodil the ldv crewcab is green so thets the paddy wagon haven give the iveco a name yet as i haven't use it due to waiting to downgrade it to 3.5t
