Art rope guide getting stuck.

Hello one and all have been climbing on the spider jack and rope guide for the best part of 9 months now and have been converted from my old prussic ways. However on several occasions my rope guide refuses to let go and no manner of flicking or pulling will release I find the cocoon pulley can sit at enough of a angle to just lock it in place very frustrating having to go and get your friction saving device without being able to use it. has anybody else encountered this problem or figured out a solution. I clean up my anchor points with a silky first to make sure there is nothing to snag it on but still find that often it will get stuck and usually at the very end of the day. :confused1:

I have only used a Pulleysaver but the concept is the same.

i found that if it's chocked up tight to the tree it won't release.

I choke my pulley saver most of the time (as in putting some of the rope through the loop as well as the pulley+prussic.

Never got it stuck.

it depends on your pulley saver and the large eye.

every time its a matter of understanding the finicky things that help, sometimes leaving it slack helps, or keeping the pulley tight on the line.

there are clever ways to make sure it comes free every time (patent pending) :)
