Silk Floss Tree (Ceiba speciosa) from tropical and sub-tropical forests in Argentina and Brazil. First one of this size i have encountered in Portugal though. Can't say i am in too much of a hurry to climb another one! There were a few swear words muttered as i climbed out on the branches to reduce it. Flowers were amazing though. Never worked on a tree with such beautiful flowers!!

climbed a few of those here in NZ,nice soft wood to cut and the spikes mean its super grippy on your shoes :) i find the spikes actually break off pretty easy when your rope touches them.

a side note- get a longer stiffer teither for your RW-this will make it work a lot better and safer
