If they went out for a night in Glasgow they could get the combat training as well!!:thumbup:

 

I think it might be safer going to Afghanistan unless they are training for getting a buck fast bottle over your head by a fat drunk 30 year old granny in clothes that are too small for her :lol:

I was "reliabliably" told 30/35 or so year ago that combat medics from certain "ahem" specialized arms of the Service got combat medic training for real in the Glaswegian infirmery of a Saturday night.

Dr. "x" will stitch you now Sir/ set that compound fracture etc,

I presume under proper medical supervision.

Sounded plausible to me back then.

 

Totally true, except it might not be Glasgow.
