We knocked this up about a year ago on a rainy afternoon ... Cost us a tenner in bolts and washers and obviously was made from scrap ladders , broken wheel barrows , broken sighns for the bolsters and under strengthening of the legs and some steel pole that was lying around for the axle and handle..

Apart from its wtf!! Looks its actually come in pretty handy and at times and been a job saver... Arbor trolley would offer a lot of advantages over it ,like this is usless in tight corners.

You can also remove one bolster that has a quick release pin and the front legs fold down so it is almost on the floor this has been pretty handy with root balls and larger bits of wood.

Several people have made their own then admitted they should have bought the Stein straight away.

Buy the proper kit and you know it will do a proper job.

My stein trolley is the cheapest piece of kit I've ever bought because it is used so much. I've got two really good guys working for me and the trolley makes the job easier which them happier.

I second that!:thumbup1:

I just use a wheelbarrow with a few ratchet straps.

A Stein Trolley is infinitely better than a wheel barrow for infinite reasons. Firstly the Stein doesn't fall over. It's carries a hell of a lot more. It can be pulled by a winch. It's much stronger. Etc etc etc etc.

Unless I have a big fell or reduction on I often find I just chuck the wheel barrow on purely because of the weight .

Arbor trolleys are rubbish for stump grindings too.

But punctures and weight aside a fantastic bit of kit.
