Well, sorry to report that I am a lot less likely to renew with arborisk following abysmal customer service after I had a chainsaw nicked. Aviva underwrites the policy and then the claim is passed on to a claim handler called Buckley Scott who have been a total nightmare; initially seemed on the ball but have now I've been emailing and 'phoning for a month to try to speak to them. Asked Aviva to help - nothing.

 

So aswell as not paying out they're not even communicating...

I had a similar nightmare with a loss adjusting firm when I got my chipper nicked (not insured through Arborisk by the way). From what I could understand the loss adjusters are independent companies who work for a number of insurance companies. I ended up threatening to go to the ombudsman - that sped things up a little.

Big thumbs up from me.

 

Been very helpful when my crappy bank screwed up my payment scheme.

 

Great company to deal with, and very competitive.

 

Until you need to make a claim?....

Very good point Hodge.

 

However, with the internet and Arbtalk now being so popular, word would soon get round if a company constantly failed their customers, and we would all leave them.

i had a trailer wazzed bk end of last ,the claim was sorted in good time , & this yr premium was less than last yrs

That's good to hear. I would hate to think of people paying for insurance and not getting paid out. Insurance is only any good if they pay up.:)
