It did yes!

The blade went straight down onto my tensing arm with a lot of force, so I guess it just split open!

Exactly Mick....especially as you,re using it your hearts pumping fast...Cutting with one hand above your other arm should be avoided for as the branch is cut the momentum forces the saw hard into it...Nasty.

A silky cut can be worse than a chainsaw cut....it is a saw made up of tiny blades.

 

i will second that :thumbup: last week i managed to catch my wrist with my ms200 and thankfully with some glue and gauze it was stuck back together , i have lost the feeling in that part of my wrist but it could have been alot worse with a silky

has the cut effected anything else? nerve damage? or mobility? muscle damage?

 

looks bad, just want to be aware for the future.:blushing:

Clipped nerve, which has made an area of my hand constantly numb.

Back when I did it, it took a good couple of months to regain the strength I had. Many boring days off work!
