Reduced this oak when I was back in Ireland last wk. The pics are crap though. It was nearly touching the neighbours roof so I took alot of that side. I took around 2 metres of the top. It looks really dense at the bottom but thats the neighbouring sycamore growing through. I crown raised it.

Oak reduction from last week, had the mewp on hire during the week so decided to use it on this for speed more than anything as we had to close part of the carriage way...happy with the result considering the poor condition of the tree

Few snaps from today, awkward ash pollard over a property, doesn't look pretty but is great habitat as its in a wooded area. The second picture is our apprentice out in a limb, he's going to making a cracking climber and has a great attitude towards work 👍

Wish my back was happy.

How often do you have it out Ian?

Suppose once you have it you would never go back, just having the balls and taking the plunge and buying one.

Great pics

If you'd of asked me before I took delivery if of said once a week but it goes out on average 3 days a week. I've just bought the log grab today as I'm staring to extract other tree surgeons timber onto their trucks.

There pretty expensive compared to the rate of return of a chipper. I don't think I could be without it now though but then my business setup is ideal for a skid steer.

Cheers about the pics. Although part of me wishes I'd bought the 800tx because it's awesome.
