Hi guys. Today's job was deadwooding the star attraction at Ringve Botanical Gardens, Trondheim, Central Norway. A massive, beautiful old Beech, 200 years old, crown diameter approximately 30 meters. An honour and a pleasure, I hope the picture does it justice

 

As you rightly point out, a majestic & beautiful looking tree

I bet you guys had a great climb around it.

 

Intrigued as to the the need for the dead wooding ?

In terms of risk, is it a very heavily visited tree ?

Nice day, big ash in a courtyard in Confolens, fairly standard stuff but loading the truck with the digger was real bonus, that hydraulic thumb was a godsend! (Plus I've just bought an i-pad so wanted a play!)
