Large dead Oak tree today, got struck by lightening about 10 years ago and the got Phytophthora ramorum.

Uk power network dropped 12kv cables then just dropped it. Back tomorrow to finish off.

Yes it was, only took 4 months to get it done was cancel last year do to engineers called up north to sort out storm arwen and my job was not priority work. 4 hour shut down took then longer to get wires down then me to prep tree and drop it and drop tall limbs left sticking up.

Cut leaf Beech reduction from yesterday and a bit of today. 

 

Completely pointless and a bastard of a climb with 1/3 of the canopy over slate roofs.

 

I enjoyed it the last time I did it 4 years ago but not so much this time around.

Picture doesn't show trailer with half a load on to try and keep back wheels near the ground. Run them at 40psi and they are 12ply construction tyres you know it now if you hit a pot hole.

One from last week when I actually climbed [emoji23] we were following tasks set by the councils consultant to open up space around a pretty cool and ganrly old oak.
