Most fun I've had at work in the last four or five years, without a doubt. So happy to be out of bloody kitchens.

Fallen sycamore limb, around 400kg worth I guess? Hung up on a big beech at one end and a baby beech in the middle, with a climber at each end. Not allowed to mash any gravestones, obviously, not that you'd notice with the condition that some of them were in.

Off tomorrow, back in on Friday, and I've got a full-time job after that, which is pretty freaking cool.

Cheers dude, that's hugely appreciated. Still sorely lacking in grip strength in both hands (my wife had to take the lid off a jar for me the other day...), but weeks of lifting weights, sit ups, chin ups and the exercise bike paid off. It'll be a while before I've got full range of motion in the left wrist, and I need to focus on the ligament damage in my left knee, but I'm on the home straight for sure.

The job was a blast... stand looking up at the thing on the ground, make a plan, get up there and poke around a bit, fine tune the intentions with the benefit of a different perspective... then crack on. I'm hooked.

We are dismantling a silver birch in someone's garden tomorrow, sounds a bit more simple but I guess you never know until you get there?
