David, that will probably be the same reason why we spotted what looked like an Apache over South East London the other day.

 

 

 

Tried to get a pic but it was a bit far away by the time I grabbed my phone.

Before & After's of a massive Oak myself and Ben Worden spent the last 2 days reducing. Probably the hardest (most difficult) reduction either of us have done to date.

Couple small larch dismantles this afternoon.

Could have got away without rigging it but I thought I would save the lawn and practise some rigging with Steve my groundie. He hasn't done much before but after showing him how to set up the portawrap and explaining the the basics, he picked it up straight away.

Wind blown willow regrowth great fun, ruff site to work on. The 3 were winched back with Landy rotated whole trunk. London main railway line alongside site but just far enough away

A job for a fellow arbtalkers family. Selective reduction on laterals and a 1-2m off the top to bring it back in line with the remainder of the crown. Myself and Jim our apprentice went up, spent a bit of time talking about how to plan routes and use redirects. Quite refreshing to be honest and a nice climb.
