Today I was on an arb aid course by Grieg. We also bought an arb aid kit and I really think it's great. I know a lot of you might say cost vs a standard first aid kit but I think this is a well thought out product. The Course delivery has been brilliant and I think it's one of the best tree related first aid courses I've been on. It was a real sobering thought that in reality it will take a minimum of 15 minutes for a rescue to be completed. Thus self rescue and practising one handed bandage administration in the tree is possibly the most practical method of rescue. In my opinion.

Couple of things in the arb aid kit are great the tweezers with the magnifying glass and the bandages that stick to themselves ( although you can get them in tesco for a couple of quid). I got told on a forestry commission site that it was not suitable as there were no large wound dressings, FC guy went through the kit and said nope no good. i had to borrow dressings before i was allowed to cut on site. Anyone else had it rejected?

Mondays job was the felling of 4 pines and a spruce (no pics) tuesday was loading up and grinding the 3 stumps on the lawn.. 65m3/18.5ton of wood and branches.

Todays morning job was rigging down a maple (windy hence rigging) driving it out, stacking ready for collection.
