Up at greenham common today doing a cypress. It was leaning over since the last storm but was nice and handy, grand day for it

Just a few from end of last week and today.

Bit of biomass.

Big black pop taken down with a 24m tracked platform then fell the stem.

Git of a hedge topping job, 12m platform, 24m queb of chip so far and 5ton of timber, back tomorrow to finish off.

Just wish it didn't have 6 BT lines in it, 1 that runs the whole length inside the hedge :mad:

Got the hedge tamed today with 2 more rb44 loades of chip and an overloaded ifor of timber.

Spot the BT wire that made things fun.

Third phase of this weeks job was felling 6 roadside ash for a school. Opportunity for school kids to see a big tree felled.

 

Prepped the tree ready then got all the kids and staff out in the playground, roughly 150 ish 5-10 year olds, gave them a five minute talk then signalled my groundy to cut the holding wood.

 

Hardest thing about the day was trying to silence 150 kids so I could talk
