I am trading in my chipper and after some advice.

I have a timberwolf tw125, had from new for 4 yrs. Great little machine, not a lot wrong tbh.

I am looking at replacing with either a new tw125 which is basically the same machine ( apart from a newer engine) or a new Greenmech 130.

I guess really i am after advice on the greenmech as i have need used one before, also i know about the round blades they use but not experienced them ( ie life span etc). The guys at the show have the sales pitch and talk about hrs etc but i would like to hear from people who use them day in day out.

does anybody out there have any words of wisdom, can you tell me of any short comings or failings these machines may have.

Price wise they are near enough the same so really after things that affect day to day running.

All and any thoughts much appreciated.

Cheers

Jose

Why replace a chipper thats only 4 years old that you have had from new with exactly the same one? Especially a petrol engined one with the cost of petrol. Ive just got a quadchip 160 and am well pleased. I too were looking at the petrol timberwolf to start with

Quadchip here aswell, the GM 130 will be a good machine but go 6". the round blades are great, much quiter in operation and will take more abuse and dont damage as easily.

I'm hearing some really good things about the Quadchip, but do love the ability to handball the 125 around gardens etc. when it's off the hitch.

Bigger chippers need bigger trucks to fill IMO.
